Can I ride with a passenger?
You can ride with as many passengers as you can fit. However, multiple passengers can throw off the weight distribution, and your bike may not perform as advertised. The maximum weight capacity per each bike is 260 lbs.
Do I need a drivers license to ride a U66 electric bike?
The great thing about all UKIYO66 electrical bikes is you do not need a license to operate one!
Classifications for Ontario:
- All operators and passengers must be at least 16 years of age.
- All operators and passengers must wear an approved bicycle or motorcycle helmet.
- No modifications to the motor to allow it to exceed a power output greater than 500W and a speed greater than 32 km/h.

Do you sell used/refurbished bikes?
At the moment, we do not offer used or refurbished bikes for sale.
What are the penalties for riding an electric bike while drunk?
Drinking and driving a motor vehicle is a Criminal Code offence and charges are laid under the Criminal Code of Canada. Under the Criminal Code, the definition of a "motor vehicle" includes an e-bike, and anyone operating an e-bike intoxicated could be charged for impaired driving. If convicted, the offender would be subject to the Criminal Code penalties, including a fine or jail time, and a driving prohibition.
Under the Highway Traffic Act, an e-bike is not classified as a motor vehicle, so penalties for impaired driving under the Act would not apply.
What is the best way to charge your UKIYO66 battery?
To charge your battery, plug-in the charger into a regular wall outlet. Connect the charging cable to the battery. Here are some helpful tips:
- Do not plug in the charger while the battery is in the on position.
- Do not use the charger if the charger, main cable or connector cable have any visible signs of damage.
- Do not charge the battery for more than 48 hours.
- Do not leave the charger plugged into a wall outlet for more than 48 hours.
- Do not store the bike for more than 24 hours with an empty battery. This prevents a deep discharge with irreparable consequences from occurring.
Make it a habit to recharge at the end of each ride, so your bike will always be ready to go again.
We recommend charging the battery for 6-8 hours on the first charge. This will help condition the lithium-ion cells for optimal performance.
A partial and random charge is fine; does not need a full charge.
Charge the battery and use the bike at least once every 90 days.
What is the max speed for U66 bikes?
All our bikes stop throttling after they reach 32km/h as per MTO laws.
What is Pedal Assist?
Pedal Assist, or PAS, automatically turns on the motor to give you extra power while pedalling. With pedal assist, you do not need to use a throttle to control the motor.
Can I bring my U66 Hellion to your GTA location for repairs?
Due to overwhelming numbers--and our repair shop only having so much space--our HQ location primarily focuses on only warranty claims. For repairs concerning brakes, tires, or any other mechanical issues, please contact your local bike shop and inquire if they have a certified shop to repair your electric bicycle.
Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship?
We currently ship to all of Canada via their APO, FPO & DPO addresses.
At this time, we don't ship internationally, but we hope to sometime in the near future.
How do I track my order?
An email will be sent to you with a tracking number for the courier website. This will be done once your order has been dispatched.
Why does my order have a shipping fee?
We contribute equally to your shipping costs on all orders, regardless of the transportation mode or location. For orders outside of Ontario, the costs are significantly higher, leaving a remainder of $94.97 or more after our contribution is applied.
We want you to know that shipping costs do not change regardless of order size (unless you select an expedited option). We're committed to making sure you get your UKIYO66's on time and we're constantly looking for ways to improve the process so that we can deliver the best experience possible.
Do you offer pickups?
At this time, we are unable to offer in-store pickup for any models. For more information, please call us toll free at (855) 680-2453.
Do you offer expedited shipping or delivery?
All UKIYO66 Bikes currently ship via UPS Ground. Expedited, or next day delivery services are available for customers located in the Greater Toronto Area.
Do you ship to my country?
We do not currently offer direct shipping outside of Canada.
Can I make changes to my order?
We try to fill and send your order as quickly as possible, which may limit our ability to add items to your order or prevent a package from shipping. Definitely reach out to us with a specific request and we'll do our best to accommodate. You can reach us via email at [email protected].
What is your return policy?
We love the products we've made and we think you will too. If you find that you're unhappy for any reason, just let us know so that we can help you return your products within 30 days of receipt.
Canceled bike orders, items refused at delivery, and unopened bike shipments are subject to a 20% re-stocking fee. Both initial and return shipping costs are non-refundable and are deducted from the total refunded amount.
We accept returns on accessories if the item is unopened and unused. All returns must be approved. Both initial and return shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the total refunded amount. A label will be provided when the return is approved. A refund is issued within three business days the item is received and inspected.
Batteries are FINAL sale. We do not accept returns or exchanges on all batteries
How do I start a return?
Returns are only accepted for unopened and unused items. All returns must be approved. Both initial and return shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the total refunded amount. A label will be provided when the return is approved. A refund will be issued once the item is received and inspected.

Am I able to process an exchange?
At this time, we are unable to process exchanges. You are welcome to return unused and unopened accessories for a refund in the form of the original payment. We do not accept returns or exchanges for bikes.
Do you offer price adjustments?
We honor price adjustments on orders placed within 10 days before the start of any sale. We do not honor price adjustments on already discounted items or orders placed with promo codes before the time of the sale. Sale prices and discount codes cannot be combined.
